Secunda branch and Witbank sub branch
October 2005
SAIMC
Krohne brought us back to size this month with their presentation on orifice plates. Some of us thought we knew everything but the proof was there that we know very little there is to know about this science. This presentation brought about a very interesting and lively discussion on personal experiences and encounters with this primary measuring device. Later in the evening some more discussions on the topic was heard whilst our attendees were treated to some hamies and a drink or two.

Golf Day
The Witbank Sub Branch hosted their Spring Golf Day this month. They are also getting it together nicely and doubled their entries from last year. They would like to express their greatest thanks to all the sponsors who entered 4-ball teams as well as those that took control of the water holes. The support from Protea Technology was so overwhelming that you could judge the day to be their day to treat some clients. We could not have asked for better weather; although there was a bit of wind for a few hours, the golf was good. They have shown that they are growing with the event and promised that next year will be even better. The day was also well supported from council with our president arriving unexpectedly to join the vice president.

During the month to come we will celebrate winning 'Branch of the Year' for 2004 and later on in the year our so-famous year-end function.
Until next time, remove the restrictions to maintain a steady flow of activities.
