According to group training manager, Allen van Gent, the objective of these hydraulic courses is to provide course participants with sufficient knowledge regarding the principles of hydraulics, fluid characteristics, filtration contamination, basic circuit design, and more. These courses cover a wide range of topics including hydraulic pumps and motors, valve theory, cylinder construction, filtration, and basic fault-finding techniques.

The pneumatics courses aim to equip participants with knowledge of safety, identification of components, motion diagrams, circuit design, and fault-finding of pneumatic circuits. Van Gent explains: “Our pneumatic courses are designed to provide attendees with sufficient knowledge to understand the function and applications of different pneumatic components. This includes the building and fault-finding of pneumatic circuits from simple circuits to five-line cascade circuits.”

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a core aspect of Bosch Rexroth Africa’s training philosophy. The training department has obtained validation from the South African Institute of Mechanical Engineering for several courses for all fluid power training that forms part of a registered engineer’s CPD.
