The modular Efector inductive proximity switches from IFM Electronic (represented locally by Shorrock Automation) provide extended sensing ranges and are good for industrial applications and in particular, for machine tool suppliers to the automotive industry.
A long life is achieved with the use of additional seals, as well as a special plastic which is resistant to oils and cooling lubricants. All units meet IP68 protection requirements and comply with the protection Class II. An active ceramic face on certain units provides a protection against hot metal swarf.
The reinforced one-piece housing allows a tightening torque that is up to twice as high as similar existing units. The sensors are available in M12 and M18 versions and all units are fitted with a corrosion-resistant M12 plug contact and they can be supplied with different outputs and housing lengths.
