The Vegabar hydrostatic level transmitters are used for controlling the filling of the ballast tanks, by calculating the pump or blower power required. The high reliability and accuracy of these instruments helps to guarantee a vessel's heel remains less than 2 degrees during the loading operation.
Vegabar can also be installed directly at the tank flange. It will measure over-pressure and inert gas pressure against the atmosphere, in cargo tanks and vapour return lines. Vega's radar gauges are used to measure the content of a cargo tank under various conditions. Because radar is independent of changes in product qualities, pressure and temperature, they are the ideal medium to use in chemical and oil tankers.
Vega's vibrating level switch is used for overfill alarm according to international safety regulations. It has no moving parts and is insensitive to changes in density. Vega understands the design and theory of tank systems and has been able to supply measuring instruments that are adapted to suit different working conditions in the maritime environment.
