The housing of Kübler's new 3700 composite encoder is only 37 x 32 mm in length and is made of a new high-tech composite material called KF 40. It can be ordered in both shaft and hollowshaft versions. Utilising new sensing technologies and construction methods, the 3700 is extremely reliable, can be operated up to 100°C, is shock-proof and resistant to EMI. The 3700 can be ordered with a variety of resolutions up to 2500 ppr, and is available with 10...30 V push-pull or 5 V RS422 line driver interfaces. Temperature and aging compensation is standard. Kübler's new innovative Tube Tech cable connection technology is 10x greater than standard PG connections proving IP67 at the cable egress. Applications include packaging machines, material handling, electronic machines, vehicles, trains, medical and office equipment. In many cases the 3700 may be used to replace resolvers.
