Programmable isolated electrical transmitter

Electrical Power & Protection
Digital Process Measurement (a top South African producer of panel meters) is offering a new programmable isolated electrical transmitter designed for AC current/voltage inputs from measuring transformers.
In a neat 92 x 92 x 26 mm package, the Model 9006 is DIN rail mounted and accepts voltages up to 500 V a.c. and currents from 1 to 5 A. Higher voltages are catered for by using external potential transformers to reduce the input voltage to 110 V a.c. Standard outputs are 0 to 10 V, 0-20 mA or 4-20 mA.
A handy feature of the transmitter is that it is fully field programmable for voltage or current using a laptop and software available from DPM's website or on disk. There is 3-way isolation between power supply, input and output. Auxiliary supplies are switch mode 90-265 V a.c./d.c. RS232 is the standard serial interface or optional RS485 data transmission (which allows up to 99 transmitters to be linked onto one system). Other options are 1 or 2 set point relays.
The model 9006 is part of the 9000 series of programmable transmitters designed and manufactured locally by DPM for volts, milliamps, load cells, thermocouples, Pt100, and frequency inputs. The full range meets international directives for EMC and voltage and comes with a three-year guarantee.
