IP68 and IP69K sensors for food and pharmaceutical industries

IFM Electronic is offering IFT, IGT and IIT sensors, especially designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries. From the Efector m range, the inductive type sensors are rated IP68 or IP69K, making them resistant to high pressure cleaning and aggressive cleaning agents.
These sensors were subjected to a temperature shock test and were inserted for an hour in 100°C boiling water and then 10 minutes in 0°C ice water. Having repeated this cycle more than 50 times, the sensors have proven their resistance to temperature shocks.
With an increased sensing range from 3,5-22 mm, the sensors offer enhanced safety and ensure a higher machine throughput. Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and with a PEEK sensing face, the sensors operate on 10 to 36 V d.c. PNP, with a two or three-wire connection. They have a switching frequency from 100 to 700 Hz. All sensors in the range have overload, reverse polarity and short-circuit protection and operate in a temperature range from 0-100°C. The IFT sensors are also available with a smooth-body housing.
