Protection for 100base-T networks

The locally designed and manufactured NET-Protector surge protection modules from Surge Technology are only 1U in height with a depth of 80 mm. The units are designed specifically for 19" rack mounting and the protection of 100 Base-T networks. They are available in 8-, 16- and 24-way formats.

The four twisted pair protection modules can be installed in most standardised cabling systems according to EN 50173 Category 5. They are designed for installation within the LPZ concept at the boundaries from lightning protection Zone 1-2.

Typical applications include Ethernet 100Base-T/TX/T4, ATM 155 MBit/s, 100VG-Any-LAN, CDDI, 10 Base-T (IEEE 802.3), Token Ring (IEEE 802.5) and EURO-ISDN.

Fitted with eight-way shielded connectors for installation in NET-Protector 19" bays, the modules are normally installed between the patch panel and the equipment to be protected. The NET-Protectors have a 155 Mb/s data transmission rate and a response time of <1 ns. All connections, inputs and outputs are RJ45 shielded.
