In today's markets, manufacturing control systems do not only require scadas and PLCs to perform the control system functionality, they also require variable speed controllers to complete the overriding control system. PSY Systems caters for these projects using any one or all of these mentioned disciplines. Many projects fail or function poorly due to the lack of application engineering on drive systems. Typical mistakes are variable torque over speed, constant torque base speed mismatch and constant power winder control. Other problem areas are crane hoisting/inching and soft starter abuse.
