Optical sensor specialist revamps its corporate branding

November 2002 News

Early this year, Telco established a close working relationship with the Danish branding firm, Kunde & Co in order to assist Telco with its mission of corporate branding. Telco has reinvented its logo and reassessed its core values and mission, all of which can now be seen on this newly launched website. The new design is based on the old logo, which has become globally known. Telco says that it is becoming an increasingly dynamic corporation, and its new identity design has been developed to reflect its core values.

The branding will take place globally over the next 24 months in close cooperation with Telco's subsidiary companies and Telco Teams. Jim Jensen, Chairman of the Board of Telco Industries A/S, believes that the corporate branding will reconfirm Telco's strong global market position within the optical sensor market.

The company has completed the move to its new, fully automated production facilities. The new factory spans an area of over 6 000 m2 in the north of Denmark in the area of Brovst. Telco has invested heavily in the modernisation and optimisation of the production process, ensuring increase in productivity, efficiency and quality.

The ever-growing demand for technologically advanced sensors has also made Telco expand its creative R&D department, which has been relocated to the former production facilities in Store Heddinge, Denmark. This department will continue its close cooperation with the R&D division USA ensuring that global demands are fulfilled. Niels Mortensen, chief engineer, has been appointed group leader for this new creative department.

Telco is represented in South Africa by Gail Norton Instrumentation - which was presented an award for the best Telco distributor (worldwide) in 2001.
