Universal flow sensors for external control monitors
October 2002
Sensors & Transducers
IFM Electronic's new SF flow sensors are designed for use in gases and liquids, providing reliable flow monitoring. The sensors are supplied with plug and socket connector or cable for easy connection to the VS 0200 control monitor, and they can be mounted irrespective of the direction of the flow.
The control monitors are mounted in the control cabinet on a DIN rail or Eurocard and monitor the cable to the sensor and evaluate the sensors' signals. Both flow monitoring and temperature monitoring of the medium and output are possible, and switching status and flow are indicated by multicoloured LEDs.
The type SF has a pressure resistance up to 30 MPa (300 bar), a temperature range up to 120°C - and is resistant to aggressive media. Meeting IP67 requirements, the sensors are housed in high-grade stainless steel or titanium. They have gold-plated contacts and are vibration and shock-resistant.
Whether the flow has to be monitored under high pressure or in aggressive media, the SF sensors provide a high degree of safety and reliability.
