Light barrier control unit for high safety

The Wenglor SS2 individual light barrier control unit is a Category 2 safety device tested in accordance with DIN EN 61496.
Application examples include palletising machines; textile machinery, transfer and assembly lines, automotive pick-and-place machines. Packaging, warehouse applications, rotary indexing machines and wood processing equipment. Up to three safety light barriers can be connected to one control unit. Quick mounting and hook-up is made possible by means of push-lock terminal connectors and a DIN rail mounting option.
Control units can be cascaded and linked to Category 2 light barriers with a connector unit, thus enhancing flexibility of individual light barrier control. Various operating modes can be set including muting, restart disabling, relay control, and cascading. The muting mode has a direction control function whereby adjustable time phases for advancing an object through the light barrier in muting mode is made possible.
