Endress + Hauser
The biggest problem facing pH measurement is the connecting point of the electrodes. Due to the high impedance of the measuring point, even the smallest amount of humidity or dirt between the contacts will affect the accuracy of the measurement and even cause complete failure of the measuring point.
That is where the new TOP 68 from Endress + Hauser comes in. It is a new and innovative waterproof IP68 connector design that incorporates a moisture-repellent PFA insulation providing complete ingress protection.
In addition, its waterproof PAL output prevents moisture from entering the cable.
The TOP 68 can be connected to all commercial fittings and is pressure-resistant to 25 bar. Its design enables it to prevent product leakage in the event of an electrode failure. The plug-in head features gold-plated contacts and can withstand temperatures up to 130°C. It can also be sterilised in an autoclave if required.
The unit is available with 2, 4 or 6 contacts and can be fitted to pH electrodes with or without temperature sensors. A version is available for use with liquid-filled electrodes and features a high-pressure connecting head for refilling KCl and a pressure resistance of 20 bar. In addition, TOP 68 can be adapted to fit Schott SMEK systems so it is a universal solution for pH probe cabling.
