Universal pressure sensors for the food industry

The flush mountable PF/PI pressure sensors from IFM Electronic are designed for use in hygienic areas, and in viscous media and liquids with suspended particles. Their flexible mechanical system, universal electronics, potted housing and chemical resistance make the sensors well suited for use in the food industry.
Mass inertia of liquid or viscous substances often lead to extreme pressure peaks and suction pressure impact on the sensing face. With IFM's special ceramic measuring cell, the pressure sensors are resistant to these pressure peaks and aggressive media. The sensors are also resistant to shock and vibration and are capable of 100-million cycles/m.
Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel, the PF/PI sensors are EHEDG certified, meet IP 67 requirements and are suited for CIP/SIP applications. Parameters are easily set using the simple menu structure. Parameters include switch points, delay times and defining of the analog output as either 4 to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V - for a specific pressure range.
