The MT1000 Series are world-class DMMs delivering performance with many new features, ranges, speed, accuracy and resolution. Meeting the IEC1010-1 CAT III 1000 V and IEC1010-1 CAT IV 600 V safety ratings, the instruments withstand over-voltage transients up to 8 kV per IEC 1010-1. All of these DMMs also have UL approval. The battery access door permits fuse or battery replacement without having to break any calibration seal. The meters all have a standard lifetime warranty. The overmoulding technology in the case is better able to withstand mechanical impacts than a conventional rubber boot design, dispersing the shock over a larger area of the case.
Both the MT1007 and MT1005 boast 0,05% accuracy and 50 000 counts of resolution on a dual reading display enhancing troubleshooting with the ability to correlate two relevant events. Their 50 kHz bandwidth makes possible modern applications that were previously not an option. The meters are ready for use virtually the instant they are switched on; there are no irritating delays. The MT1007 and MT1005 have a bright LED backlight as well as an enhanced LCD with larger digits, wide viewing angle and an on-screen menu selection. Convenient closed case calibration allows adjustments to be made directly through the RS232C port.
The MT1007 measures volts (DC down to 1 µV), ohms, amps, conductance, temperature in °C or °F and capacitance up to 5 mF. Other features include continuity and diode test. The user-friendly case design houses a dual reading display with bar graph for simultaneous readouts such as AC (true-rms), DC and Hz, dB, mV and more. Besides relative mode and Min/Max Average, the meter has a 1 mS Fast MIN MAX for capturing peak transients. In addition the MT1007 can store up to 10 measurements in standalone operation. The MT1005 is a 5000 count display and measures volts (dc to 10 µV), and has all the same features of the MT1007 except the AC and DC measurement feature.
The MT1003 and MT1001 have 4000 count displays with LED backlight and are designed to withstand falls from bench tops and ladders. These two DMMs are well suited for technicians in field service, facilities maintenance and production equipment maintenance/installation. The input ranges and functions are protected to the meters rated voltage so that the user will not blow a fuse or destroy the meter if connected to a live circuit while measuring resistance.
The MT1003 DMM features true-rms AC measurement, guaranteeing accurate readings, even when harmonics are present. Other features include voltage measurement up to 1000 V a.c. and d.c. resistance, capacitance, frequency and duty cycle, temperature and current. There is also a relative mode, data hold, continuity buzzer and a diode test function.
The MT1001 is an average responding DMM that has the same features as the MT1003 except no temperature measurement.
