Pressure and temperature in one sensor
July 2019
Sensors & Transducers
ASSTech’s German sensor manufacturing agency, Wenglor, has succeeded in integrating a temperature element into a pressure measuring cell. This makes it possible for the new weFlux² sensor to simultaneously acquire relative pressure and temperature of liquids and gases. Combining these measuring functions enhances economic efficiency as fewer sensors are required for process monitoring. At the same time, reducing the number of sensors is in line with the trend towards more and more compact systems and machines.
All of the sensors included in the weFlux² series are equipped with the most up-to-date IO-Link version 1.1. They can be used to acquire all relevant process values such as pressure, flow and temperature. In combination with Wenglor’s wTeach2 software, a digital platform is created for smart machines where the fluid sensors configure themselves automatically to allow acquired data to be evaluated and visualised in real time. With intelligent process monitoring, machines are used to their fullest extent and systems are preventatively protected against damage.
Highlights include:
• Simultaneous measurement of pressure and temperature.
• Pressure measuring accuracy of ±0,5%.
• Temperature measuring accuracy ±1°C.
• Pressure range of -1 to 125°C.
• IO-Link 1.1.
• Housing made of top quality V4A stainless steel.
