HMI for online sensor use
March 2002
Sensors & Transducers
TTS Technologies has developed a new display unit for online use with OPTEC sensors. The display unit shows the state of the process in realtime, making the process control more effective and accurate.
The control unit is specially designed for the OPTEC sensor. The user needs only to plug in the sensor and the electrical supply (24 V d.c.) is fed straight to the sensor. The display reading shows the liquid content in mA or 0-100% according to operator's wishes.
The operator may control the process more effectively with help of a signal from the display unit. The unit is also equipped with two or more limit switches for effective control of valves. This way the user can easily detect any leakage or filter breaks.
The display unit is fully programmable for various applications, with adjustable alarm set points for different liquid contents, or product changeovers. Hysteresis and time delay for the desired set points is easily set up. Dimensions are 354 x 237 x 179 mm, it will work on 230/110 V a.c. and is able to source 5 A for resistive loads, and 2/3 A (AC/DC) for inductive loads, at its relay outputs. It weighs 1,5 kg.
