The new generation of ultrasonic sensors from Baumer can be programmed comfortably by the press of a single button thanks to their 'teach-in' functionality.
The range and the steepness of the analog output can be selected freely within the given limits and, in addition, the output function is invertible, meaning you can select whether the output value is increased or decreased as a target approaches the operating range.
The sensor LED shows green for the operating range and red for the short range and also serves for user guidance during the teach-in process. The operating range is 100 to 700 mm and the analog output supplies 0 to 10 V. The precision is <1% of the respective target distance (So). The sensor is very easy to use because no adjustment tools are necessary. In addition storage of the set values in the internal EEPROM results in higher long-term stability. Baumer is marketed and supported in southern Africa by Temperature Controls.
