Pressure measuring cell with ISP

A new addition to Jumo’s automation products is the Ceros S01 M pressure sensor with integrated signal processing (ISP), which is an active component that delivers a temperature-compensated and calibrated digital/analog output signal for pressure and temperature values. The compact design makes this sensor ideal for critical installations.
The pressure measuring cell works through a piezoresistive measuring system. It is available in measuring ranges from 100 mbar to 100 bar relative, and from 1 to 100 bar absolute. The operating temperature lies between -40 and +125°C with customer-specific measuring ranges, compensation temperatures and design types also possible.
The pressure measuring cell is characterised by a high level of accuracy and fast response times. Additionally, the improved temperature stability increases the reliability of the sensor. As the Jumo Ceros comes fully calibrated and pre-aligned, additional equipment such as climatic cabinets, pressure controllers, or calibration systems is no longer needed. This saves on installation time and also lowers costs.
In order to minimise welding or installation errors, a subsequent zero point adjustment is possible. Usage is further simplified through protection against overvoltage, reverse polarity and electrostatic charge. Due to low energy demands, the Jumo Ceros can also be operated from batteries, and can, for example, be implemented in level probes, data loggers or digital pressure gauges. The smooth finish of the device allows for use in hygienic areas.
