Single beam self-contained door sensors

September 2000 Sensors & Transducers

The 3000 series is made to prevent automatic doors from closing prematurely, thereby preventing injury to passing people/passengers or damage to the doors themselves. The series consists only of a transmitter and receiver, in a snap-in housing, good for both new and existing installations. This enables direct connection to the automatic door controller without the need of an additional amplifier unit, as required with traditional systems.

They have fixed or adjustable ranges from 0 to 6 m, with a supply voltage of 10 to 30 V d.c. and PNP or NPN transistor output. They are vandalproof and exhibit high immunity to exterior light.
