Cordex introduces the Toughpix Digitherm pocket-size digital and thermal imaging camera

December 2017 Sensors & Transducers

Compact enough to fit into any work pocket, but rugged enough to take the hits, Toughpix Digitherm is a go-anywhere camera providing the power and resilience to get the job done.

Rugged, powerful and with ground-breaking affordability, it sets a standard in compact digital imaging cameras. With features including 5 megapixel visual camera, LED flash, real-time visual/thermal image blending and wireless connectivity, Cordex Digitherm brings a new dimension to the task of finding, documenting and sharing problems.

Every component in the new camera has been selected to ensure longevity. From being frozen to a temperature of -20°C and dropped from a height of one metre, to being blasted with water and dirt as part of ingress protection testing, the product has been tested to extremes.

The all thermal imaging capabilities have been designed for a wide range of building, electrical and mechanical applications, including a thermal feature that can provide fully radiometric images capable of capturing measurement data from 4800 points for analysis either on screen, or later using the Connect PC software.

What are the benefits of thermal imaging?

Reduce risk: reduce the possibility of unplanned downtime and minimise the risk of arc flash. Regularly checking equipment health and keeping a safe distance from equipment during inspection can mitigate substantial risk.

Lower costs: finding potential failures sooner can mitigate expensive repairs in the long run. It can also reduce overtime and extend equipment life.

Increase productivity: rule out possible issues faster by seeing the big picture with infrared images.

Increase service and profitability: electrical contractors and professional thermographers can provide thermal and infrared inspections as part of their service offering.
