RET Automation has introduced the new VE camera generation from Banner Engineering, which combines the intuitive operability of the iVu vision sensor with the performance of the previous P4 camera system. The free Vision Manager software also provides several powerful image processing tools and also makes it possible to modify inspection parameters during ongoing operation, thus avoiding costly downtime during production. When used with the optional lens cover, the robust metal housing of the camera meets degree of protection IP67. It therefore enables the testing, measuring or counting of components and properties even in the harshest environmental conditions.
The two-line display with pushbuttons enables the user to make product changes during operation and rectify any faults directly at the device. The display also shows information such as the IP address, MAC address or the set data speed.
The VE Smart Camera operates with a CMOS sensor which is available in three resolutions: 0,3, 1,3 and 2 megapixels. Besides five optically isolated and programmable inputs and outputs for unlimited configuration options, and also a trigger input, the unit also comes with a lighting connection for controlling external light sources. The camera can be used in industrial Ethernet networks with the Profinet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP protocols.
