Efficient new range of searchlights
April 2017
Electrical Power & Protection
The new Francis LED searchlight range has been developed to offer an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional lamp sources.
Using the highest grade of the world class OSRAM LED, this range offers a high-power output with low power consumption. Using a series of precision made glass lenses to optimise and collimate the light achieves a greater range and output.
The high power LED Chip has a 20 000 hour life and as with all Francis products, the construction is robust and of the highest quality. To dissipate the heat generated by the high-power LED, there has been a great focus on thermal management, and these heatsinks are integrated into the barrel construction.
The 234 W LED gives illumination characteristics in excess of a 300 W xenon lamp/3 kw halogen. Other features include:
• Constructed from marine grade aluminium and stainless steel.
• High quality powder paint finish.
• Fixed focus options giving 4° Spot(SP), 6° Mid Beam(MD) or 10° Flood(FL).
• Weight: 30 kg searchlight, PSU driver under 4 kg.
• 100-240 V power supply input.
• 19000 lumen output giving light intensity at 100 m of approximately 270 Lux.
• Variable speed LED joystick, with auto home position and RS-485 connectivity.
• Remote pan rotation 365° with tilt/elevation control +35° and -40°.
• Dimmable control panel.
