Catering to the medical electrical device market’s demand for highly reliable power supplies, Mean Well has introduced the GSM120B series of desktop type medical adaptors.
The series is certified to global medical power supply regulations and, with leakage current less than 100 A, efficiency up to 91% and no-load power consumption less than 0,15 W, it is well suited for use in medical devices in contact with patients.
The units operate over the 80 to 264 VAC input range and offer output voltages of 12, 15, 19, 24 or 48 V. They are designated Class II (no FG) and the enclosure is a UL 94V-0 flame retardant plastic case that is able to prevent shock hazards. Other functions include an LED indicator for power on and short circuit, overload, over-voltage and over-temperature protection. Applications include mobile clinical workstations, oral irrigators, medical display monitors and automated clinical chemistry analysers.
