Honeywell first offered the ST 2000 pressure transmitter earlier this year as a direct replacement for conventional analog transmitters and indicators. It provides an economical yet powerful complement to the ST3000 pressure transmitter product line.
The device features microprocessor-based electronics that provide two-wire 4-20 mA output signals proportional to the measured variables. The microprocessor enhances accuracy by compensating the signal for temperature effects and device nonlinearities.
The new pressure transmitter is suitable for many low-tier applications where reliable absolute or gauge pressure measurement is necessary. This includes industries such as food & beverage, power generation, wastewater, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, pulp and paper etc. On request, units can be supplied with a flush-mounted sensor for nonconventional applications.
Designed for economical operation and ease of use, the ST2000 is configured via the LCD indicator and two pushbuttons - thus negating the need for reference pressure, or a handheld terminal or PC.
