The story began in Austria in the 1930s when Alfred Brakl immigrated to Sweden and founded Inor AB in 1939. From the outset, the company focused on temperature measuring technology and started selling and distributing temperature assemblies and components.

Over time, Brakl expanded by starting up a production line for temperature instruments and offering related services. The company evolved in the field of temperature transmitters and assemblies with the first production in the early fifties. Today, the company has an unparalleled wealth of experience in the manufacturing of standard and special versions, material processing as well as forms, process connections and variants of industrial temperature assemblies. The company’s quality management system has been EN ISO 9000 certified since 1995 and EN ISO 14001 certified since 2002.

In 2006 Krohne bought the Swedish company, which then became known as Krohne Inor and has since focused on the expansion of its product portfolio and the international development of its business. In 2011 the company moved to its present location of Malmö, Sweden, which offered more space and the opportunity to expand production capacities. Today Krohne Inor products and services are available in more than 100 countries and an example of the company’s success can be seen in the equipping of the Solana Power Plant in Arizona, featuring more than 1100 measuring points that were fitted with different standard and special variant temperature assemblies.
