Sperosens & Instruments, a specialist in fire detection and fire suppression, now also supplies and installs DSPA aerosol extinguishing systems. The DSPA range offers a wide range of multipurpose fixed and portable extinguishing systems for individual risk management. All designs, installation, operation, testing and maintenance comply with NFPA2010 standards. In addition the DSPA aerosol systems have the following certifications: BRL –K23001/04:2010, CEN/TR 15276-1:2009, ISO 15779:2011 and UL subject 2775: 2008. This is not common practice for other ranges on the market.
With low maintenance costs, they require no pipework, storage or manifolds. They have a low space requirement and are non-pressurised, with a 15 year serviceable life span. Based on non-toxic environmentally friendly technology, they do not affect the ozone layer or lower oxygen levels in the activated areas, and are listed by the EPA as an official halon replacement.
DSPA aerosol devices are effective for fire classes A,B,C and F. Applications include electromechanical systems, data processing systems, industrial equipment, transport, dairy processing divisions, tunnel construction and paint warehouses.
