Omniflex’s precision I/O for oil & gas applications

September 2013 Data Acquisition & Telemetry

The latest enhancement to the Maxiflex I/O range is the M1434E high accuracy analog input module. Offering twice the resolution of the standard Maxiflex input, the M1434 has been designed to meet the demands of high value custody transfer applications within the bio fuels and oil & gas industries, where isolation and high accuracy measurements are essential.

The new module offers 8 off fully isolated inputs with 24-bit measurement resolution, allowing customers to achieve high accuracy measurements that can result in significant cost savings. This intelligent module also provides users with flexibility through software configuration, allowing each input to be configured for a different input type and range.

The module can be inserted into any I/O slot on a Maxiflex I/O system and, as with all Maxiflex I/O modules, can be added or removed while the system is powered up and in use. The auto-detection capability allows the Maxiflex CPU to recognise the presence of the module without any need for re-configuration of the Maxiflex system.
