Safety command devices

September 2012 System Integration & Control Systems Design

Leuze’s range of electronic safety command devices has been expanded and is now available with a variety of EBS E-Stop buttons. The units can be supplied in housings that are suitable for mounting either on machines or in systems. They are operated by pressing the red E-Stop button which is common practice with this type of button system. This activates an output from the unit to a PLC, for example. Depending on the application requirements, the E-Stop button can be enabled by turning the red button or by turning a key. This option allows optimum flexibility.

In addition to the expansion of the E-Stop button range, a Rope Switch product range is also available. This can be supplied with additional contact blocks and an M12 plug if required. With these new variants, Leuze sensing systems are now able to cover a wide variety of mechanised and electrical applications. All variants facilitate integration in control circuits up to category 4 in accordance with EN ISO 13849.
