The new LI21 series point level sensors from ifm electronic provide reliable overflow protection for liquids, and in particular for hydraulic oils and coolants. They also monitor the minimum level and any leakage in the tank. It only takes a few seconds to set the application via two buttons and there is a clearly visible LED switching status indication.
The sensors are approved as overflow protection according to the German overspill standard WHG section19, which monitors the overfilling of tanks. Deposits of foam can be suppressed by adjusting the unit, providing additional safety. The capacitive operating principle makes the sensors wear-free, with no moving components.
Moreover, they have cULus approval. They are installed in the tank from above and the point level can be precisely adapted using a clamp. The new operating concept enables setting and adjustment of the output function by pressing just one pushbutton.
