Automation & Control Solutions was the proud sponsor of a successful two-day complementary control valve workshop held at the Cape Sun from 30-31 May. In the interest of education and improving the knowledge of people in industry, the company decided to host this intensive practical workshop. It was specially designed to assist engineers and technicians responsible for the selection, sizing and application of control valves, actuators and positioners. Topics that were covered included valve specifications, valve sizing criteria, actuators, positioners and pneumatic accessories.
“We are very pleased as the event was well supported with over 60 delegates attending from various industries around Cape Town, Saldanha and even as far as Mosselbay. Delegates ranged from project, instrument, process, design, mechanical, electrical, reliability and C&I engineers,” says Automation & Control Solutions regional manager Lambert Myburgh.
The workshop was facilitated by engineering manager Peter Underhill, supported by Attie Booysen, product manager control valves, along with sales consultants Juandre Whon and Carl October. Automation & Control Solutions is owned by Aveng Grinaker-LTA.
