The IFC229 inductive sensors from ifm electronic have a long 4–22 mm sensing range over the whole temperature range. They are resistant to aggressive oils and coolants and provide protection against mechanical damage, thereby reducing plant downtime.
The special design with additional seals and the use of a plastic housing which is resistant to oils, coolants and lubricants contribute to a long life. All units in this series have IP68 protection rating and class II protection.
The 4-hole LED display for the switching function and the additional LED for indication of the detection range enable fast adjustment and optimum use of the increased sensing range. Due to the captive laser type label, the unit can still be clearly identified after many years of operation. A ceramic sensing face protects against hot metal swarf and the robust housing allows safe mounting.
