With its new series BOS 26K, Balluff has introduced a complete family of laser and red light sensors. The newest optical and mechanical designs are integrated together. All diffuse models work with precise background suppression and can be easily adjusted using a 2-turn potentiometer for ranges up to 150/300/600 mm (depending on model).
The retro-reflective models work on a 'single-lens' principle, which results in excellent switching accuracy at ranges up to 12 m (laser version). Both types are available as red light or laser models for applications where high precision and small parts detection are required.
Great emphasis has been placed on user-friendliness. These sensors have a number display for visualising the switching distance and sensitivity, and highly visible LEDs help when it comes to set-up. The housing design is based on established standards, but is significantly more adaptable, since the connector entry can be adjusted to face different directions.
