NewElec’s KD and KE motor protection relays offer basic protection and motor management at an affordable price. The powerful, low voltage three-phase relays provide overload with user-selectable thermal curves; load loss with a user-selectable measurement method; and intelligent short circuit trip levels, dependent on power factor measurement. The KD relay facilitates certain control panel mounted settings while the parameterisation of the KE is fully software driven.
Motor protection features include phase unbalance and phase loss; earth leakage with user selectable curves; earth fault trip discrimination; and phase rotation with software adjustable sequencing. The relays provide programmable starts per hour and permissible consecutive starts; 2000 uploadable time and date stamped events; 60 last faults with complete details relating to current and voltage values; and software based real-time recording capabilities. A fully fledged simulator for trainee electricians to experience and manipulate relay settings and create faults is included with the relays.
