The new 02V vision sensor from ifm electronic monitors presence, position, size and quality, as well as sorting tasks in packaging, manufacturing and quality control applications. The 02V is a combined camera and lighting and evaluation unit with parameter control for a wide range of applications. The compact standalone unit has integrated illumination and its Ethernet process interface (TCP/ IP, Ethernet IP) provides image transmission and connection to the controller. All parameters can be set conveniently via the menu-guided parameter setting software.
The Ethernet interface also provides remote maintenance with storage of error images and evaluation data, an update option for the sensors, as well as the process image for the connection of programmable logic controllers.
With a robust, industrial IP67 housing, the 02V is suitable for use in -10 to 60°C ambient temperature range.
