New sensor in M18 housing from Wenglor
February 2012
Sensors & Transducers
A wide variety of functions, easy handling and cost effective pricing are the advantages of the new Wenglor range of sensors in a plastic M18 housing designed for packaging applications. The practical mechanical design is suitable for straight and angled reflex sensors, retro-reflex sensors and through beam sensors with cable plug. With housing lengths of 35 mm (straight) and 50 mm (angled) the photo-electronic sensors extremely compact for integration into applications where space is limited.
All variants in this new sensor range are equipped with an antivalent output, a potentiometer for adjusting switching distance and two diagnosis LEDs. The integrated LEDs indicate switching status, contamination and supply voltage and are highly visible from any angle. Switching distance can be precisely adjusted to any application with the potentiometer, protected against destruction due to over twisting by means of a mechanical limit.
The mounting system allows for easy attachment ranging from integration into the system right up to quasi-flush mounting. Sensors can be fed through the opening and secured from either side to simplify and accelerate start-up and reduces installation costs.
