Vega Instruments SA started 2012 in a dynamic fashion with the move to its new Johannesburg premises in Laser Park, Honeydew. On 10 January, special guests were invited to attend the official opening of Vega’s new building: Vega Grieshaber managing executive director Günter Kech did the honours.
Mr and Mrs Günter Kech cut the ribbon
Kech outlined Vega’s commitment to product support, innovation and employee growth at a presentation luncheon following the opening ceremony and explained Vega’s philosophy of saving in good times in order to continue investment during financial downturns. During the recession of 2009, Vega continued to employ staff to develop and market its products worldwide and was rewarded during 2011 with a surge in sales growth.
MD of Vega Instruments SA, John Groom, gave credit to the support received from Vega, including the fast turnaround of orders which averages seven days. He also recognised the strength of the company imparted from having dedicated and motivated employees. He thanked his staff for their continued support. With an ever-expanding complement of service technicians, Vega Instruments is currently able to service 99% of customer instruments in-house.
Vega Instruments’ new building encompasses a spacious and dedicated training section equipped with state of the art presentation facilities and a large workshop area that is equipped with all the necessary machinery. The company is well poised to fulfil the Vega motto ‘Looking forward’ during the 2012 financial year.
