ABB has won an order from JSPL Mozambique Minerais, a subsidiary of Jindal Steel and Power, for a 220/33 kV turnkey substation to electrify the Open Cast Coil Mine Project at its mining concession near the Chirodzi village in the Tete Province in Mozambique.
ABB’s scope of supply includes, taping power from Electicidade de Mozambiques, the construction of a double circuit overhead line from taping point to the substation site and the construction of the substation. The installation will be compatible with the existing system of service provider EDM.
