As a result of the almost unlimited options for different combinations of mechanical and electrical connections, an extraordinary range of instrument variants is possible. These instruments make up WIKA’s Mechatronic Pressure Measurement range. For these gauges various digital and analogue output signals are also available.
Within the company’s measuring instruments, the latest sensors are in use, tested in automotive applications millions of times over. They work without any mechanical contact and are consequently wear resistant with no retroaction to the mechanics.
Pressure gauges with switch contacts
Control systems are gaining more and more importance in industrial applications. Consequently, pressure indication on the gauge itself is no longer sufficient, rather, the measured value must be transferred to the control system via an electrical signal, eg, by closing or opening of a circuit.
WIKA is focusing on its new mechatronic product line in order to satisfy this trend. The switchGAUGEs are based on a high-quality mechanical WIKA pressure gauge with, depending on the application, an integrated magnetic snap-action, inductive or electronic (PLC) contact; a transistor output (NPN or PNP) is also possible. All gauges with inductive contacts are certified in accordance with ATEX Ex II 2 GD c.
