The Dynapar HT50 hand tachometer system from PREI Instrumentation is a 'must have' for every toolkit. It provides a convenient, accurate means of measuring rotary or surface speeds on all types of machinery and can be used for noncontact or contact measurement with accuracy to ±0,01%.
For noncontact measurement the tachometer optically detects a reflective target on the rotating object to read revolutions per minute. An optional remote probe accessory can also be used in tight or hard access areas for optical pickup of RPM sources. For in-contact measurement, the snap-on accessory adapter is used with either a wheel for surface speed (in yards or meters per minute) or a rubber tip for shaft rotation. The high-contrast liquid crystal display (LCD) holds its reading for 3 min then automatically shuts off for power savings.
The complete HT50 system includes the tachometer, in-contact adapter, three rubber tips, 10 sheets of reflective tape, surface speed wheels, carrying case, four AAA size 1,5 V alkaline batteries and instruction manual.
