Regulated 20 Watt diode converter
November 2011
Electrical Power & Protection
Mean Well has introduced a 20 W module type single output regulated DC/DC converter with size of 50x25 mm, the SKA20, for the growing demands of miniaturisation applications and to help system designers solve PCB space limitations.
Up to date circuit design ensures the SKA20 series delivers up to 89% efficiency to allow full load operation with only free air convection cooling from -40 to 75°C ambient temperature. With DIP packaging and standard pin assignment, these converters feature 1500 VDC input/output isolation, short circuit, overload and input and output over-voltage protections, low ripple noise, remote ON/OFF control, remote sense, output trimming and CE/FCC compliance. In addition, fully encapsulated packaging can help them withstand the influence of dust and moisture in harsh environments. Suitable applications include industrial control, telecom and distributed power architecture related applications.
