The Siemens Industry Automation Division has expanded its Simatic Ident portfolio for industrial identification by adding the Simatic RF200 RFID system with compact readers for the high-frequency range. The new system comprises three readers with IP67 protection: Simatic RF210R, RF220R and RF260R, which can be used with all previousISO 15693 transponders from Siemens.
Just like other RFID systems from Siemens, the Simatic RF200 can be integrated easily into automation systems such as Simatic or Simotion using predefined S7 function blocks FC45/FB45 and a comprehensive range of communication modules for Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet and other bus systems for simple commissioning, diagnostics and maintenance.
