Mean Well has launched its new generation of 40 and 60 W LED power supplies the HLN-40H/60H and HLP-40H/60H series. Featured with insulated plastic enclosure, HLN-40H/60H series can reach IP64 waterproof/dustproof levels and with casing removed offers significant cost saving thanks to miniature PCB design. Therefore, these series offer good solutions for LED lighting fixtures with budget constraints.
These four new models not only increase efficiency, but the -40°C power-on ability (at 230 VAC) is also superior to existing models. The three-in-one dimming function (1-10 VDC, PWM, resistance) fulfils the growing demand for energy saving dimming applications.
Built-in two stage active PFC ensures the series comply with harmonic current limitation per EN61000-3-2 Class C. They also deliver PF>0.9 at loads over 60% and possess 4 kV surge immunity (EN61000-4-5) which complies with the requirements of general lighting. Efficiencies up to 91% mean the units can be operated from -40 to 50°C ambient temperature with only free convection cooling. Suitable applications include indoor LED lighting, LED electric displays, LED decorative lighting and LED stage lighting.
