SKF South Africa has grown its network through additional SKF authorised distributors appointed since the beginning of 2010. “Authorised distributors are an extension of SKF,” says key account manager, Giscard Lailvaux. “They are located country wide and are fully equipped to deliver products and services from SKF’s core technologies.”

Bearing Services Bethal supplies a leading South African hydrocarbon processor and is a prime example of superior service delivery. Lailvaux explains: “This local plant is a key account of immense value to SKF, both strategically and financially. So when this customer indicated that service levels should be no more than two days from order to delivery, we briefed Bearing Services Bethal, formulated a product and service delivery schedule and are delivering service levels beyond customer expectations despite the remote location of the plant 60 km away.
“Bearing Services Bethal is pivotal to developing the SKF value proposition. It is in the right place, with the right product, at the right price, at the right time, delivered by a highly skilled and committed team with a world class service ethic.”
