The new pressure transmitter SD-10 from Wika complies with the DESINA concept and provides considerable economic benefits, especially for machine tool building applications.
The new pressure transmitter fulfills the demands for a comprehensive overall concept for the standardisation and decentralisation of the electrical installation of machines and plants. This future standard has been defined by the Association of German Machine Tool Companies in cooperation with the automobile industry and suppliers of installation components.
This new standard will reduce costs for electrical equipment not only by simplifying installation and maintenance work, but also by reducing the range of parts and supplies held as stock, thus lowering inventory costs. Furthermore, an increased machine run-time will be possible due to a diagnosis signal enabling easy fault detection, therefore helping to avoid prolonged downtimes.
The IP 67 locking plug meets the high requirements of the machine tool industry and ensures sufficient protection against the oils used as coolants. Clearly visible LEDs on the instrument indicate on the spot if pressure is applied to the system. The completely welded thin film sensors ensure high long-term stability.
