Turck now offers magnetic and optical rotary encoders in all categories, from incremental to absolute single-turn, absolute multiturn and analogue output units. The comprehensive portfolio allows users to select the best technology for the corresponding application.
The new encoders are offered in various calibres: next to the standard model for shafts up to 58 mm, there are miniature models up to 24 and 37 mm, as well as models for large hollow shafts up to 100 mm. Robust mechanical construction and the compact die-cast case ensure the encoders are not sensitive to change in temperature, jolts and vibration. The IP67 rated devices – special models for offshore rated IP69k – operate over a temperature range from -40 to 105°C.
The portfolio offers a variety of connection and interface types. Users have a choice of M12, M23 and 5-pole connectors. RS422 and push-pull interfaces are available for incremental encoders. For absolute encoders, Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT and Profinet are offered, as well as SSI, BiSS, RS485 and analogue and parallel interfaces.
