The Jamie-Leigh Eagle Tour took place from 15 to 19 February in honour of this young girl who succumbed to cancer. The route was tough and tested the cyclists from the start at Gold Reef City to the finish at the Big Hole in Kimberly. Sydney Lee, an Omron employee in the wholesaler division, was approached by the Eagles to cycle for this worthy cause.
Big Shoes, the organisation for which the funds were raised, specialises in palliative care for children with cancer. Through their work, the Eagles are keeping alive the memory of a 9-year-old girl and helping other children who are similarly afflicted.
