Industry leaders target KZN exhibition

May 2011 News

A number of leading companies that will be represented at this year’s KZN Industrial Technology Exhibition have chosen the event as the platform to launch new product ranges. The 13th edition of this popular biennial event will take place at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 7-10 June and will feature a broad range of local and international businesses showcasing products, services and solutions.

SEW-Eurodrive is one that will be taking advantage of the audience at the KZN exhibition; it will be showcasing the new Movigear mechatronic drive with the inverter and geared motor as one component. Cas de Jager, branch manager KZN says, “Our products are found in 80% of all industries including mining, food and beverage, water treatment, port logistics, materials handling, packaging, entertainment, timber and sugar. This event is an ideal opportunity for us to interact with potential customers in the region.”

As the sole importer of premium brands in the marking, identification and traceability sector, Traceability Solutions offer a wide range of conventional, pin-stamp and laser marking solutions and systems. Sales manager Kelby Parker says, “Being a company based in Johannesburg that provides services to the entire country, we like the opportunity to get to meet potential customers in the KZN region. In addition, at events such as this, we are also able to offer expert advice to both potential and current clients about the best high quality marking technique to suit the available budget and product.”

Major Tech is another that will be using the opportunity. As a supplier to the electronic and lighting sectors, Major Tech will be exhibiting eco-friendly technologies in line with the shift towards sustainable ‘green’ energy solutions.

Long-time exhibitors, General Pneumatics Natal, will be back at the event this year with an exciting new product launch. As will General Pneumatics Natal, who say the range of products from a new Italian supplier has taken off faster than expected.
