The Siemens Industry Automation Division has equipped its new 19-inch rack industrial PC, SIMATIC IPC547D, with high-performance Intel Core-i processors (2nd Generation) up to the four-core processor Core i7 with integral graphic functions.
The rack PC is available with the 64-bit operating system Windows 7, up to 32 GB DDR3 work memory and Intel HD onboard graphics with dynamic frequency. With its high computing, system and graphics performance, the PC is ideally suited to high-speed processing of large volumes of data in industrial image processing for the tasks of process visualisation, data acquisition and data processing. A redundantly configured power supply, RAID hard disks and solid-state drive offer a high degree of system availability and data security.
