After 10 years of successful market presence the new generation of the iTEMP TMT182 is available as the iTEMP TMT82 HART transmitter. The transmitter can now incorporate a digital display and has additional functionality including a second sensor, which can be used for backup or drift detection thus providing maximum safety, availability and risk minimisation.
Diagnosis
To protect the customers from an overload of diagnostic information the diagnostics features adhere to Namur NE 107. Various parameters can be selected to react to specific diagnostic cases. The diagnostic functionality can further be enhanced with the integration of FieldCare. In the case of a fault, FieldCare highlights the active error and cause. The device status is easily retrievable.
Display
As per the previous generation, the TMT82 supports the plug-on TID10 display. The display can be used both for continuous measurement and diagnosis display, as well as a temporary service tool. The TID10 can be connected to the transmitter at any time during plant operation (non-reactive on the 4-20mA signal). If the display is plugged in, it runs a start-up phase during which various device information and settings are shown (sensor type, connection type, measurement range) in sequence. This simplifies the identification of the measurement point during calibration and maintenance.
Integration
The iTEMP TMT82 is versatile for integration into a variety of applications. The transmitter is interrogated by FieldCare via the DTM framework integrations or similarly via the Simatic PDM system. In addition, the integration files for Emerson’s AMS and the handheld FC375 and 475 are also available.
